About The Position

As a member of Nordstrom’s Beauty Department, you will create personalized beauty experiences for customers and contribute to a passionate team. The role focuses on understanding customer needs and maximizing sales of on-trend and luxury beauty brands. You will help customers with makeup and skincare, build relationships and a customer following in-store and digitally, and contribute to an inclusive, welcoming environment. The position is seasonal and based at Ridgedale.

Requirements

Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.

Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare applications.
Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills.
Drive to achieve sales goals, with interest in using networking and technology.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling, using selling tools including text and social media.
Book appointments and drive sales for in-store Beauty events and services.
Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready.
Stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training provided by Nordstrom and brand partners.
Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
