About The Position

The Beauty Merchandising Associate helps deliver an exceptional shopping experience by maintaining effective sales floor merchandising, executing merchandise standards, and supporting visual and operational standards in the Beauty department. The role includes updating displays, maintaining merchandise and stockrooms, replenishing products, and executing Gift with Purchase and Purchase with Purchase promotions, the Open Sell concept, and the Trend Recycling Program. Customer service is the top priority; merchandising work should be paused to assist customers and address their needs.

This is a fast-paced position requiring flexibility across tasks and shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The associate supports a clean, organized, and inviting department, follows inventory, asset protection, safety, and compliance procedures, and works with store leadership and colleagues to maintain standards.

Requirements

• Strong merchandising or visual skills and creativity.
• Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Resourcefulness and adaptability to changing priorities; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-starter who can adapt quickly to changing customer expectations and needs.
• Ability to switch efficiently between tasks as directed while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

• Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.

• Color vision and ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, prioritize their needs, answer questions, and direct them to appropriate products.
• Collaborate with store leadership and colleagues to maintain a clean, organized, and inviting shopping environment.
• Maintain working knowledge of open-sell merchandise and key department items to assist customers and support sales.
• Install fixture and product display updates promptly and according to guidelines.
• Manage the Beauty Department’s Trend Recycling Collateral Program according to established procedures.
• Organize the stockroom and perform merchandise placement, fixture adjustments, and replenishment.
• Maintain department cleanliness and organization, including tester stations, fixtures, and supplies.
• Monitor and maintain merchandise presentation in open-sell and multi-branded areas.
• Support Gift With Purchase and Purchase With Purchase events, including presale pickups and promotional-material organization.
• Execute the Dispose In Field process according to company standards, including compliant waste disposal and hazardous-material handling.
• Participate in physical inventory and carry out shortage-prevention initiatives.
• Follow asset protection, inventory control, and compliance procedures.
