About The Position

The Full Time Beauty Associate at TJ Maxx performs cashiering, customer service, merchandise processing and stocking, store recovery, and cleaning duties. The role is physically active and fast-paced, with associates moving between departments and responsibilities as business needs change. Associates help deliver a satisfying customer experience, promote customer loyalty and credit programs, maintain an organized and clean store, and follow operational, merchandising, safety, and loss prevention standards. The position requires open availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and high-volume sales events. Associates may be cross-trained to work in multiple store areas. The listed starting pay range is USD $13.25 to $13.75 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including nights, weekends, holidays, and high-volume sales events.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Engage and interact with customers while delivering a highly satisfactory customer experience.
Operate the cash register and accurately process purchases and returns, including counting change according to procedures.
Promote customer credit and loyalty programs.
Unpack, sort, process, prepare, stock, and organize merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Maintain merchandising standards and participate in store recovery throughout the day.
Maintain sales-floor organization and cleanliness and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, labor, safety, and loss prevention standards and procedures.
Support store shrink-reduction goals and safety awareness.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Work across departments and take on other duties as assigned.
