About The Position

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor creates a memorable shopping experience for customers and helps guide them through their beauty needs, including hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. Sally Beauty provides product knowledge and training; the advisor brings enthusiasm and personality to the role. The position involves building customer relationships, recommending products, supporting promotions and loyalty enrollment, processing transactions, and maintaining a professional store environment. A range of working schedules and hours is available to suit different needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Ability to read and explain product labels.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods; walk; repeatedly bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, and reach; and repeatedly lift moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
