About The Position

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor focuses on creating a memorable shopping experience and advising customers on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. Sally Beauty provides product knowledge training, while the advisor brings enthusiasm and personality to customer interactions. The position includes relationship-building, sales support, transaction processing, merchandising, and maintaining a professional store environment. A range of working schedules and hours is available to suit different needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to read and explain product labels.
• Able to follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position requires long periods of standing and walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines and may occasionally involve exposure to irritant chemicals, fumes, or odors.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about the Loyalty program and enroll them when appropriate.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge training to support customer service.
