About The Position

The Batching Operator is responsible for batching activities as required by production demand and ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals while complying with applicable legal and food safety requirements. The role involves preparing beverage ingredients to product recipes, documenting batch information, maintaining and sanitizing equipment, and supporting production operations. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in the field or a similar manufacturing environment; experience may include a combination of work experience and education.
At least 2 years of experience in the position; experience may include a combination of work experience and education.
Ability to speak effectively with management and employees at all levels.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability and flexibility to work up to 12-hour shifts, days or nights, and overtime.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to regularly and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to visually inspect product and materials.
Forklift experience.
High school diploma.

Responsibilities

Inspect, stage, weigh, and mix ingredients according to product recipes.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Technician on analytical results and adjust batches when needed, including Brix, acid, pH, and color.
Pre-weigh, blend, and liquefy components for beverage preparation.
Document lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates on formulas according to customer regulations.
Clean and sanitize batching equipment and fillers using CIP, foaming equipment, and hand brushing.
Operate a forklift to load and move ingredients while following safety procedures.
Follow company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Follow Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Standards.
Maintain housekeeping and quality in batching, production, and other areas assigned by plant leadership.
Complete hourly inspection sheets accurately based on overall product quality.
Assist in other areas as required by plant supervision.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
