About The Position

The Batch Coating Operator is responsible for maintaining the input of materials used to make Florikan products and ensuring specialized machinery mixes materials to produce the proper output and outward visual appearance. The role supports the flow of materials through the coating process and adds value at each stage. The operator reads production paperwork, coordinates movement through the coating department, communicates instructions to the coating team, and follows supervisor direction. The position also includes inspecting machinery, reporting findings to maintenance, and completing housekeeping duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience operating a forklift or skidsteer.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Perform repetitive tasks at an even pace that promotes accuracy and quality.
• Complete each task before beginning a new one.
• Pay attention to details and perform work according to written standards.
• Accept and comply with safety and quality procedures and policies.
• Respect peers in a collaborative setting and respect supervisors.
• Adapt to changes in work situations and team environments.
• Provide respectful, constructive feedback in support of team and organizational goals.
• Demonstrate an active desire to learn about the tools and methods of the industry.
• Walk and stand for long periods.
• Lift materials weighing 50 pounds or less.
• Work for a full 12 hours in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• Work in an enclosed space.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand paperwork related to product creation.
• Replace materials needed for product manufacturing in a timely manner.
• Communicate instructions to the coating team on how to build products.
• Receive and implement direction from supervisors.
• Coordinate movement of items through the coating department.
• Contact supervisors before problems occur.
• Perform brief machinery inspections and report findings to the maintenance department.
• Complete regularly assigned housekeeping duties in the department and occasionally in other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
