About The Position

A nonexempt, part-time position responsible for completing X-rays on patients. The role operates a C-arm during surgeries and fluoroscopic procedures and performs X-rays during clinic visits. It also involves reviewing schedules and imaging needs, entering billing codes in the EHR, managing tasks, assisting in the office and clinic, and traveling to other locations when needed. The employee communicates with clinical and clerical team members to support a patient-centered practice. Other duties may be assigned, and NTIAs may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
BLS Certificate.
Current license in the state of Florida.
One to two years of customer service experience required.
Ability to problem-solve and think critically.
Professional and effective communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
Ability to use relevant technical tools and resources, such as Microsoft and Outlook.
Knowledge of medical terminology, the health care field, legal and ethical considerations related to patient information, counseling, conflict resolution, customer service principles, and insurance or insurance eligibility verification.
Skill using medical record systems and software, following written and oral medical orders, handling multiple tasks, and communicating diplomatically.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff by phone, in person, and email; resolve patient concerns; establish relationships with diverse people; maintain effective working relationships; use computers and EMR; work under pressure; and travel between offices on occasion.

Nice To Haves

Certified BMO.
Experience as an EMT or Medical Assistant.
One year of relevant call center or medical experience.
One year of medical terminology experience.

Responsibilities

Operate a C-arm during surgeries and fluoroscopic procedures.
X-ray patients during clinic visits.
Review schedules and reconcile the acquisition of appropriate imaging for all patients.
Enter appropriate billing codes in the EHR.
Filter tasks and complete or reassign them as necessary.
Review the schedule for the following week.
Assist within the office and clinic as needed.
Travel to other locations when needed.
Communicate with clinical and clerical team members to support a patient-centered practice.
Perform other duties as assigned.
