About The Position

The Basic Operator supports the production area in meeting quality, safety, and productivity goals. Duties include placing components on the line, packing filled product, capping, inserting components into kits, housekeeping, sanitation, and other assigned tasks. The operator follows instructions from the Machine Operator and Technical Operator Line Lead and performs assigned work at the required pace to help keep the production line operating with minimal downtime.

The role is based in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and is assigned to the second shift: Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:15 a.m. It is a direct-hire, full-time position. The listed base pay is $18.79 per hour, plus a $1.75 shift differential, with weekly pay periods.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend, write, and perform mathematics.
• Committed team worker with a strong sense of responsibility and good attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and an agile mind.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods company is desirable but not essential.
• Competence using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word, and SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties at the required pace to help the production line operate with minimal downtime.
• Reference the process board or production process form and compare it with actual line components to ensure the correct components are being used.
• Ensure the required number of filled units are packed into each shipper.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and follow GMP requirements in work areas.
• Help clean and clear the line during the end-of-run process.
• Provide training to new temporary or inexperienced full-time employees.
• Perform other duties as required.
