About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is hiring a Bartender for a sports bar. The role involves preparing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, handling transactions, maintaining an accurate bank, and keeping the bar area and equipment clean. The bartender interacts with guests and cocktail servers, replenishes ice, and prepares written requisitions and orders for bar stock.

The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday off.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a bartender is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare beverage orders from customers and cocktail servers.
• Mix alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to standard beverage recipes.
• Serve beverages in accordance with established service procedures.
• Operate the cash register, complete transactions according to procedures, and maintain an accurate bank.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area and equipment, including removing used glasses and napkins, emptying ashtrays, and wiping the bar top.
• Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Prepare written requisitions and orders for bar stock.
• Maintain and replenish the ice supply.
