Full Time Bartender Sports Bar
About The Position
Boyd Gaming Corporation is hiring a full-time bartender for its sports bar. The bartender receives and prepares beverage orders from customers and cocktail servers, mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks according to standard recipes, and processes transactions while maintaining an accurate bank. The role also involves keeping the bar area clean and stocked, communicating with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, and preparing written requisitions and orders for bar stock. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday are off. Compensation is $7 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a bartender is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Receive and prepare beverage orders from customers and cocktail servers.
- Mix alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages according to memorized standard beverage recipes.
- Serve beverages using repetitive motions and follow established service procedures.
- Operate the cash register, complete transactions according to procedures, and maintain an accurate bank.
- Maintain bar cleanliness by removing used glasses and napkins, emptying ashtrays, and wiping the bar top.
- Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Prepare written requisitions and orders for bar stock.
- Maintain and replenish the ice supply.
