About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Bartender for Double Cut Steak House. The role provides friendly, responsive, and consistent service to create an exceptional food and beverage experience for guests. The bartender helps create a welcoming atmosphere by crafting quality beverages and engaging guests with attentive service, while embodying the company’s “Lead with Love” promise. The listed pay rate is $7–$8 per hour plus tips. The position is available at locations in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Sandusky, Ohio; Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania; Round Rock, Texas; and Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

Requirements

A bartender’s license is required.
Must have bartending experience in a fine-dining, full-service, high-volume restaurant.
Prior restaurant, bartender, or lounge experience in a full-service restaurant or beverage venue is required, and/or a background in the service industry is a plus.
Applicable state or local law may require completion of an alcohol awareness or safety class and state-certified proper food-handling certification.

Responsibilities

Ensure guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
Greet guests promptly, explain specials, provide menu and beverage tours, recommend items and drinks, and advise guests about menu changes.
Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system for transmission to the kitchen and bar.
Keep the bar area neat and organized, including the bar top, counters, and well area; empty and wipe ashtrays; remove, wash, and sterilize dirty cocktail glasses; and clean up napkins, coasters, straws, and discarded garnishes.
Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption and its effects, and take immediate corrective action to assist guests and protect the interests of Kalahari Resorts and its associates.
