GARNI Cafe Bartender
About The Position
The Bartender at Garni Cafe, a three-meal-period restaurant, prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing an engaging, positive guest experience. The role includes upholding state, federal, and property-specific policies and procedures, sharing knowledge of the food, services, and amenities available to guests, and supporting accurate food service at the bar. The position works in an empowered, fast-paced environment serving bar guests and restaurant servers. The role requires varied shifts, including weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical duties include regularly walking and standing for 6–8 hours per day; occasionally climbing and balancing; and frequently reaching, carrying, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment may include exposure to basic cleaning supply chemicals, temperature fluctuations such as heat and humidity, and moderate to high noise levels.
Requirements
- At least three years of previous bartending experience in a luxury setting.
- Working knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and food service.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
- Required alcohol service and Food Handler certifications, including county- and state-specific Food Handler certification and state-specific alcohol certification and/or TIPS certification.
- Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to provide a fun and friendly environment during guest interactions.
- Ability to work in an empowered, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to walk and stand for 6–8 hours per day.
- Ability to occasionally climb and maintain balance, and frequently reach, carry, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision.

- Follow applicable state, federal, and property-specific policies and procedures.
- Share knowledge of the food, services, and amenities available to guests.
- Create a fun and positive environment and provide an extraordinary guest experience.
- Promote the menu, receive food orders at the bar, and verify order accuracy before delivery to guests.
- Support the bar and restaurant servers in a fast-paced environment.
