About The Position

Bartenders consistently deliver “Legendary” customer service to bar guests and everyone in the restaurant. They help ensure guests have a memorable experience by presenting drinks and food in a way that exceeds expectations, while proactively contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented, guest-centered environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Optimistic and assertive attitude.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds as needed.
Ability to continuously use hands and arms.
Ability to continuously stand, walk, climb, reach, and twist.

Responsibilities

Report to work as scheduled, on time, well-groomed, and in proper uniform.
Mix cocktails and serve and pour wine, bottled beer, and draft beer according to Reata’s protocol.
Perform Reata’s 10 Step to Server Excellence for bar, lounge, and cocktail guests.
Perform all bar opening and closing duties.
Slice fruit garnishes each day at the prescribed par level for all bars.
Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and account for any discrepancies in the final drawer.
Assist with seating guests and clearing, cleaning, and resetting the bar or tables for the next guest.
Monitor and maintain bar cleanliness in accordance with health department requirements.
Handle customer complaints calmly and courteously, and inform supervisors of complaints or suggestions.
Assist other employees as needed as part of a team.
Perform additional duties as assigned by a manager.
Practice responsible alcohol service to protect Reata Restaurant from liability under the Dram Shop Rule.
Understand and enforce local Alcohol and Beverage Commission laws and regulations.
