About The Position

Bartenders help turn Guests into loyal Fans at Primanti Bros. by providing friendly service and helping guests choose from the food and beverage selections. They prepare drinks according to company recipes, enter and coordinate orders, handle transactions, and maintain a clean, stocked, and well-organized bar. The role also includes following alcohol-awareness, safety, and sanitation procedures; completing opening, shift-change, and closing checklists; and performing other duties as requested by a Coach. The position requires standing throughout the shift, frequent bending, stooping, reaching, wiping, and hand immersion in water. Bartenders must be able to operate a POS system, handle payments accurately, account for money at the end of a shift, and deliver food and beverages, which may involve lifting up to 50 pounds. Requirements

Ability to read and write in English.
Good communication skills and a friendly, people-oriented manner.
Enthusiastic, dependable, courteous, and able to multitask.
Basic math skills.
Complete and pass RAMP and/or TIPS certification in accordance with state requirements, if applicable.
Ability to stand for the entire shift.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and wipe, and to frequently immerse hands in water.
Ability to operate a POS system, make change, and accurately complete credit-card transactions.
Ability to account for all money at the end of each shift.
Ability to deliver food and beverages and work in the bar area, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide warm, friendly service from the initial greeting through the end of each guest’s experience.
Know the menu, explain choices, communicate food and beverage promotions, Happy Hour specials, and upcoming events, and answer guest questions.
Prepare drinks according to Primanti Bros. recipes.
Enter food orders and coordinate their delivery timing with the guest’s request.
Follow up after food delivery to confirm that the order is accurate.
Pre-bus and maintain bar-top cleanliness, remove clutter, and check drink levels.
Follow alcohol-awareness procedures for checking age, preventing intoxication, and responding to potentially intoxicated guests.
Collect payment for drinks and/or food according to established accounting procedures.
Keep the bar area clean, neat, and well stocked.
Ensure daily bar inventories correspond with bar POS totals and that the bar POS is balanced.
Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures throughout the shift.
Complete opening, shift-change, and closing checklists, as well as weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.
Perform other duties as requested by a Coach.
