About The Position

Bartenders help turn guests into loyal fans by providing friendly service and guiding them through Primanti Bros. food and beverage selections. The role includes preparing drinks to company recipes, taking and coordinating orders, processing payments, maintaining and stocking the bar, balancing inventory and point-of-sale totals, and following alcohol-awareness, safety, and sanitation procedures. Bartenders also complete opening, shift-change, closing, and scheduled cleaning tasks, and may perform other duties as requested by the Coach.

Requirements

Ability to read and write in English.
Good communication skills and a friendly, people-oriented manner.
Enthusiastic, dependable, courteous, and able to multitask.
Basic math skills.
Complete and pass RAMP and/or TIPS certification according to state requirements, if applicable.
Ability to operate a POS system, make change, accurately complete credit card transactions, and account for all money at the end of each shift.
Able to stand for 100% of the shift.
Able to perform frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and wiping.
Able to lift as much as 50 pounds.
Able to frequently immerse hands in water.

Responsibilities

Provide warm, friendly service from the initial greeting through the end of each guest’s experience.
Know the menu and explain food and beverage choices, promotions, Happy Hour specials, and upcoming events; answer guest questions.
Prepare drinks according to Primanti Bros. recipes.
Ring up food orders and time their delivery according to guest requests.
Follow up after food delivery to confirm the order is accurate.
Pre-bus and maintain a clean bar top by removing clutter and checking drink levels.
Follow alcohol-awareness procedures to verify age, prevent intoxication, and address potentially intoxicated guests.
Collect payments for food and drinks according to established accounting procedures.
Keep the bar area clean, neat, and well stocked.
Ensure daily bar inventories correspond with bar POS totals and balance the bar POS.
Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures throughout each shift.
Complete opening, shift-change, and closing checklists, as well as weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.
Perform other duties as requested by the Coach.
