About The Position

Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner. The role includes setting up and stocking the bar, preparing garnishes and perishables, processing drink orders and payments, maintaining an attractive and clean work area, and following applicable liquor laws and health and safety standards. The position is available full time or part time at Miami Lakes Hotel in Miami Lakes, Florida. Schedules are flexible, with days and hours varying and weekends included. Previous bartending experience is required. The fixed pay rate is $11.98 per hour.

Previous bartending experience required.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Follow state, federal, and company liquor regulations, including rules for serving minors and intoxicated guests.
Set up assigned bars and requisition and stock beverages, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain stock and prepare, cure, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greet guests courteously and in a friendly manner.
Take or process drink orders; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and prudent portion control.
Check guests at the bar for proper identification.
Recognize and respond to guest inebriation as trained, and demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws.
Receive cash, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly completed.
Lock up and store beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash drops; secure the bank.
Perform general cleaning to meet health and safety standards and keep the work area clean and organized.
Arrange bottles and glasses for an attractive bar display.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow company safety procedures, including using appropriate cut-resistant gloves, protective gloves for hot items, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
