About The Position

As a Bartender at AMC, you’ll provide friendly, high-quality service in a fast-paced theatre setting, crafting drinks and memorable guest experiences. AMC provides training in bartending, including mixing drinks and pouring portions. The role includes recommending beverages, checking identification, maintaining the bar, opening and closing it, and working collaboratively to help create a welcoming and inclusive environment. Bartenders must follow safety instructions, company policies and procedures, and AMC wardrobe standards. Evening, weekend, and occasional holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bartending experience is appreciated but not required.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Willing to complete required training and certifications provided by AMC.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Strong guest service, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in movies and creating a positive guest experience.
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry it up to 90 feet, or deposit it into a dumpster or trash compactor.
• Adherence to AMC Wardrobe 101 Standards, including black non-slip shoes, black pants, an AMC-provided shirt where applicable, and items required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and serve drinks.
• Complete AMC-provided bartending training, including learning to mix drinks and pour portions.
• Recommend featured and premium beverages.
• Check identification and follow laws and guidelines to ensure alcohol is served only to guests aged 21 or older.
• Keep the bar clean and stocked.
• Open the bar at the start of the day and close it at night.
• Follow instructions for the safe use of chemicals and cleaning materials.
• Work with and support fellow bartenders and teammates.
• Help create an inclusive environment where guests feel welcomed, valued, and respected.
• Follow AMC Wardrobe 101 Standards and any applicable local requirements.
• Maintain a professional and positive demeanor.
• Adhere to AMC Company Policies and Procedures.
