About The Position

The Bartender is part of the Food & Beverage team at the St. James Hotel and provides exceptional guest service by preparing cocktails and serving food with warmth and enthusiasm. The role involves preparing beverage orders, generating checks, handling payments, organizing and stocking the bar, monitoring inventory, reducing spoilage and waste, and maintaining clean, sanitary, functional refrigeration, storage, and work areas. The posting gives conflicting employment information: it first says this is a part-time position and describes part-time benefits, then later says this is a full-time position. The schedule is therefore unclear.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of bartender experience in a similar role and size of operation.
Alcohol Beverage Servers Certification.
Food Handlers Certification.
Ability to kneel, stoop, pull, grasp, lift and carry, and transport 50–75 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk in a confined space for an entire shift.
Manual dexterity to use and operate food and beverage equipment.

Nice To Haves

Completion of bartending school or a Bartending & Mixology Certification.
Hotel experience.
