About The Position

The Bartender brings the island spirit to life by making every guest feel at home. The role requires complete knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, as well as knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits. The Bartender verifies government-issued identification when alcohol is ordered as required by state and federal law, maintains appropriate stock levels of perishables and spirits based on projected business, and helps create a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment. Shifts are scheduled according to business needs.

Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Stand routinely for the duration of a shift.
• Safely maneuver equipment and tools such as hand carts, blenders, knives, slicers, and wine keys.
• Work scheduled shifts determined by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Make every guest feel at home while bringing the island spirit to life.
• Know food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
• Maintain knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
• Verify guests’ government-issued identification when required for alcohol orders under state and federal law.
• Maintain stock levels of perishables and spirits, including inventory control and ordering, based on projected business.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, professional, and upbeat environment.
