About The Position

The Bartender provides prompt, pleasant, courteous, and efficient service to guests in a casino setting. The role requires using alcohol awareness training, greeting guests promptly and warmly, anticipating their needs, responding with urgency, and verifying that guests are of legal drinking age. The bartender completes side work, prepares the work area for the succeeding shift, maintains cleanliness behind the bar, and provides professional service that encourages guests to return. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
Must have certified alcohol awareness training.
Excellent guest service and communication skills.
Ability to handle money and make correct change using a POS system.
Must be able to work in areas with dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds, and varying air quality.
Must present a professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Must display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
Ability to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
Effective learning skills.
Ability to ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
Ability to be physically mobile and stand or walk during shifts; move around in small spaces; lift up to 50 pounds; and bend, stoop, push, kneel, and reach overhead.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
