About The Position

The Bartender Supervisor assists the Food and Beverage Manager in ensuring high-quality food and beverage service while adhering to budgeted payroll and overhead costs. The role also works to improve Food and Beverage sales revenues. The supervisor supports department operations, service quality, staffing, cost controls, employee performance, and promotional efforts.

Requirements

At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Fluency in written and verbal English.
Operational knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and solve problems.
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

College coursework in a related field is helpful.
Previous supervisory responsibility is preferred.

Responsibilities

Approach encounters with guests and associates with a smile.
Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in maintaining food and beverage costs.
Maintain department service standards using quality-control tools such as Standard of the Week and coaching sessions.
Immediately follow up on accidents, problems, or guest complaints in the Food and Beverage Department.
Monitor and follow up on servers’ cash overages and shortages.
Maintain consistent disciplinary actions for Food and Beverage employees.
Be familiar with the hotel’s P.O.S. system.
Assist with wage progress and productivity reports for the Food and Beverage Department.
Assist in preparing staff schedules according to forecast.
Assist with monthly food and beverage inventories and reconciliations.
Ensure servers complete all side work duties.
Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in developing promotional ideas.
Initiate and promote sales efforts for service personnel.
Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in preparing for and conducting employee performance appraisals.
Assist the Food and Beverage Manager and Food Production Manager in maintaining and improving the quality and presentation of food products.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
