About The Position
The Rec Room is looking for a Bartender to provide an exceptional dining experience to guests. The Bartender prepares alcoholic drinks, pours wine and beer, and is knowledgeable about standard drink recipes while being flexible to guest preferences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an energetic, fast-paced, and social atmosphere.
Requirements
- High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
- Must be the required age of majority or older
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Bartending experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of drink recipes
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate
Nice To Haves
- Completed Bartending classes preferred
Responsibilities
- Taking and filling drink orders, garnishing and serving drinks, collecting payment and operating POS
- Maintaining a clean work area by cleaning up after guests, removing empty bottles and trash, replacing empty beer kegs and washing glasses and utensils
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory by keeping track of wines, beers, liquors, and ordering bar supplies when required, and stocking the bar
- Maintaining a safe environment by checking guests’ identification, determining when a customer has had too much alcohol, stopping service, ensuring a safe ride home is arranged, and refusing service or calling the police if necessary
