About The Position

Part-Time Barista at Hill House Home. Hill House is seeking a Part-Time Barista at our Charleston store to become a pivotal part of our Hill House family. In this role, you'll serve not only as a brand ambassador but also as a key player in building relationships, both internally and externally, to cultivate an unparalleled service culture. We are looking for a warm, professional, and dynamic associate to help drive our café’s sales performance and help ensure operational excellence, by assisting the Café Manager.

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant setting
Experience performing in a fast-paced environment with fastidious attention to detail.
Self-motivated with exceptional communication and a motivational attitude
High degree of flexibility and initiative
Embraces a culture of learning and advocacy.
Has lived experiences with people from different backgrounds and diverse teams.
Flexibility to work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Active role in engaging with clients, ensuring the highest level of service is provided and client experience goals are met.
Greeting customers in a friendly manner
Answer customer questions regarding menu choices.
Promote and recommend menu items.
Assist in the smooth running of cafe operations, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining operational standards to meet brand standards continually.
Assist in managing inventory effectively, ensuring stock levels are aligned with sales goals.
Assist in maintaining equipment – espresso machine, coffee brewer, coffee grinder, etc
