About The Position

The Barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items for customers and catering. The role follows standard recipes, food preparation procedures, HACCP guidelines, and quality standards while maintaining cleanliness and order in the service area. Baristas interact with customers and coworkers in a friendly, courteous manner, provide accurate information about menu items, and support prompt, satisfying service. No experience is necessary; training is available.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS device and accept cash and charge payments.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining a clean service area.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Prepare food using approved recipes and prescribed production standards.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and the workstation before leaving the area for other assignments.
• Greet customers courteously and interact with them to ensure satisfaction.
• Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently and prevent delays in serving lines.
• Understand daily menu items and explain them accurately to customers.
• Use selling techniques, communicate with customers, and assist with buying decisions.
• Merchandise display foods attractively and serve food neatly according to standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
