Barista (Part Time)
About The Position
Eurest is hiring a part-time Barista at Capital One Cafe in Richmond, Virginia. The Barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items while following HACCP guidelines and food-service quality standards. The role involves customer service, accurate order entry and payment handling, maintaining clean and orderly service areas and equipment, and presenting food attractively. Open availability is preferred, and the position requires the ability to work closing shifts and weekends. Barista experience is preferred, but applicants with a strong customer service background may be trained.

Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
- Enter orders accurately into the POS device and accept cash and charge payments.
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while keeping the service area clean.
- Maintain proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures while following HACCP standards.
- Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
- Prepare food using approved recipes and prescribed production standards.
- Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
- Thoroughly clean equipment and the workstation before leaving the area for other assignments.
- Greet customers courteously and interact with them to ensure satisfaction.
- Relay relevant customer concerns to supervisors.
- Serve customers quickly and efficiently and prevent delays in serving lines.
- Understand daily menu items and explain them accurately to customers.
- Use selling techniques, communicate with customers, and assist with buying decisions.
- Merchandise display foods attractively and serve food neatly according to standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
