About The Position
Creative Dining Services at Delta College is hiring part-time Baristas to maintain coffee shop operations and provide fast, efficient, and friendly service. The role supports a positive environment and a quality experience for customers and team members, with responsibilities including customer service, product knowledge and education, and encouraging safe work practices. The position does not require weekend work.
Requirements
- One year of retail experience or six months of specialty coffee experience.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present food and beverages according to established recipe and presentation standards.
- Provide customers with positive, friendly, and helpful service.
- Proactively prevent customer service issues; investigate and resolve customer incidents, documenting them when necessary.
- Operate a register, other devices, and a credit card machine accurately while following cash-handling procedures.
- Follow current coffee-business trends and make suggestions for operations.
