Seasonal Starbucks Barista, Perimeter Mall
About The Position
The Barista sells and prepares Starbucks coffee beverages according to Starbucks standards, providing caring hospitality and exceptional customer service through product knowledge. The role involves working across coffee, cold beverage, espresso bar, and pastry stations; maintaining equipment and work areas; preparing products to Starbucks recipes and speed-of-service standards; and following company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards. The Barista also supports merchandising, inventory presentation, station duties, and opening or closing procedures. The position is seasonal at Perimeter Mall. Schedules include weekend shifts and may include day, evening, and holiday hours; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday shifts.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods; reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop; frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and a cash register; process register transactions; and frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.

- 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate current and working knowledge of drip coffee, cold beverage, espresso bar, and pastry stations.
- Follow company standards and maintain the work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
- Follow Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills to provide an exceptional customer experience.
- Educate, sample, and serve customers food and beverage products.
- Follow station-specific duties and responsibilities.
- Open and/or close the area using the appropriate checklist and verify completion with the Manager on Duty before leaving.
- Maintain PAR stock levels and product presentation standards.
- Prepare and present products following Starbucks recipes while meeting speed-of-service standards.
- Follow Starbucks merchandising and signing standards.
- Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress to comply with company, Starbucks, and Health Department standards.
- Perform other duties as needed.
