About The Position
The Barista creates a welcoming experience for guests by taking orders and preparing and serving tea, coffee, espresso drinks, and food. The role operates coffee-making equipment, prepares beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards, and processes guest payments. The position is in an airport concession retail and dining environment serving the traveling public.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and acknowledge guests, and take drink and food orders within 30 seconds of their arrival.
- Operate coffee-making equipment and dismantle and clean machinery as needed.
- Prepare and present beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Accurately total orders, process payments, and collect payment from guests, including using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash, process credit and debit card transactions, and make change in accordance with cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of and enthusiasm for the restaurant’s menu and products.
- Create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.
