About The Position

The Barista creates a welcoming guest experience by interacting with guests and preparing and serving tea, coffee, and espresso drinks. The role is in a diverse and inclusive retail and dining environment serving the traveling public. Baristas prepare beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards, operate and clean coffee equipment, and process guest payments while following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures. The position also involves staying knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant’s menu and products.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and acknowledge guests, and take their drink and food orders within 30 seconds of entering the concept.
• Operate coffee-making equipment.
• Dismantle and clean machinery as needed.
• Prepare and present beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Accurately total, process, and collect guest payments using the point-of-sale system.
• Handle cash, process credit and debit card payments, and make change in compliance with company cash-handling and loss-prevention standard operating procedures.
• Stay knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant’s menu and products.
• Create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.
