About The Position
The Barista is responsible for guest engagement and the overall quality and satisfaction of the coffee shop. The role models and acts according to Starbucks’ guiding principle, when applicable based on the venue, and the Choctaw Casino & Resort mission statement. The Barista reports to the Venue Manager.
Requirements
- Serve Safe Certification.
- Ability to handle cash and other tender methods and make change.
- Knowledge of drink recipes, how to prepare each beverage, and how each machine functions.
- Must be 21 years of age or older if applicable based on venue.
- ABLE Certification if applicable based on venue.
Responsibilities
- Take orders and fulfill orders correctly and promptly.
- Promote the Choctaw Culture and the mission of Starbucks.
- Adhere to the cash handle audit policy.
- Maintain all Barista steps of service.
- Attend all Starbucks training and department meetings.
- Provide excellent guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and a safe, hazard-free work environment within assigned responsibilities.
- Promptly inform management of product shortages, equipment failures, or staffing issues.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
