About The Position

A Barista creates and serves specialty hot and cold beverages according to Eataly recipes and guests’ special requests. The role requires knowledge of coffee menu items, high-quality service in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work at multiple quick-service counters. The position reports to the QSR General Manager and QSR Assistant General Managers. The Barista prepares authentic Italian espresso, coffee, and other café drinks; provides guests with service and product information; sets up stations and replenishes displays while keeping allergens separated; and ensures products are dated and handled according to FIFO standards. The role also includes weighing, grinding, or packing coffee beans to guest specifications, operating the POS system, maintaining clean and sanitized work areas, and serving pastry, gelato, pizza, and other Italian delicacies across QSR counters. The position is onsite and requires a flexible schedule that often includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and being able to stand, walk, bend, and squat for up to eight hours. Hourly compensation is stated as $19.00 plus tips; the posting also lists a base pay range of $15–$17 per hour plus tips.

Requirements

Knowledge of and enthusiasm for coffee, tea, drink preparation, and products.
Outstanding communication and guest service skills.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow production directions.
Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, often including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for up to eight hours.
Ability to operate a manual espresso machine, ovens, drink blender, juicer, and POS system.
Dexterity for rapid and consistent espresso preparation.
Be prepared to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination upon hire.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of barista experience using a manual espresso machine.
High school diploma.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve authentic Italian espresso, coffee, and other café drinks at multiple counters.
Provide exceptional guest service and details about products, including coffee blends and preparation methods.
Set up stations and replenish displays neatly, separating allergens such as nuts and wheat.
Ensure items are dated and follow First In, First Out (FIFO) standards.
Weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans according to guest specifications.
Operate the POS system and ensure cash drops are accurate and bills are authentic.
Clean and sanitize work areas in accordance with local supervising health agency requirements.
Work across QSR counters serving pastry, gelato, pizza, and other Italian delicacies.
Maintain a calm demeanor during high-volume periods.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
