About The Position

As an on-call Barista at New York New York in Las Vegas, you will help create a welcoming guest experience, primarily supporting Starbucks operations. Based on business needs, you may also work at 48th & Crepe. The role involves understanding guests’ needs and taking ownership of their experience to create memorable service. The starting rate is $21.4633 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of prior relevant experience as a food handler in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Prior relevant experience in a coffee shop or similar fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take and place orders, and efficiently and accurately serve and garnish food and drinks as applicable.
• Collect money while following proper cash-handling and comp procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of front- and back-of-house areas; clear tables and counters and sweep the dining area without interfering with guest comfort.
• Pack orders according to guests’ preferences, including necessary condiments.
• Label and date products according to safety and sanitation procedures.
• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment.
• Unload warehouse orders and stock them in designated storage areas while maintaining organization; stock and replenish products in workstations, counters, tables, and other areas as needed.
• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; refer other matters to management and notify a supervisor and/or Security about unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
