About The Position

As an on-call Barista/Fountain Worker at MGM Grand, you will create exceptional guest experiences through friendly, personalized service. You will primarily work at Starbucks, but may also be scheduled to support other Quick Service outlets as business needs require. You will understand each guest’s needs, craft quality beverages and food items, and create memorable moments.

The starting rate is $16.2391 per hour plus tips.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work varied, on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Take and place orders, and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in the work area, as applicable.
• Collect money while following proper cash-handling and comp procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the front and back of house; clear tables and counters; and sweep and maintain the dining area without interfering with guests’ comfort.
• Pack and complete orders according to guests’ preferences, including necessary condiments.
• Label and date products according to safety and sanitation procedures.
• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment.
• Unload warehouse orders and stock them in designated storage areas; maintain organization and replenish products at workstations, counters, tables, and other areas as needed.
• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; otherwise, refer them to management.
• Notify a supervisor and/or Security of unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
