About The Position

Paradies Lagardère is seeking a Barista for its new airport concept, Blue Bridge Market, located at Gerald R. Ford International Airport. The Barista prepares and serves coffee and tea beverages while delivering friendly, efficient, personalized service to travelers. The role involves operating coffee equipment and point-of-sale systems, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, knowing the menu, and collaborating with team members to support smooth daily operations. Requirements

Proven experience as a barista or in a similar role; experience in a fast-paced coffee shop or airport environment is preferred.
Proficient knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, latte art, and coffee-related equipment.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to create a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with composure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with customers from diverse backgrounds.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Genuine passion for coffee and desire to provide customers with an outstanding coffee experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and cold brews, ensuring consistent taste and quality.
Take customer orders and provide friendly, efficient, and personalized service.
Operate coffee brewing equipment, grinders, and other barista tools.
Keep the workspace clean and organized, and ensure equipment is sanitized and in good working condition.
Maintain knowledge of the coffee menu, including seasonal specials and promotions.
Engage with customers by offering recommendations, answering questions, and sharing information about coffee offerings.
Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system accurately.
Collaborate with team members on restocking, cleaning, and opening and closing procedures.
Follow health and safety guidelines and regulations.
Continue developing coffee-making knowledge and skills.
