About The Position
The Barista/Coffee Shop Attendant provides efficient counter service while preparing specialty coffee and beverage products, processing transactions, maintaining product displays, and creating a welcoming guest experience.
Requirements
- Ability to learn beverage recipes and equipment operation.
- Basic cash-handling and POS skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous barista, café, cashier, or guest-service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge guests promptly.
- Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, teas, smoothies, and other assigned beverages according to established recipes.
- Maintain knowledge of available food, beverage, retail, and grab-and-go offerings.
- Take and accurately enter guest orders into the POS system.
- Process cash, credit card, room charge, and other approved payments accurately.
- Suggest additional products and appropriate enhancements.
- Maintain attractive and fully stocked displays.
- Monitor freshness, expiration dates, labels, and product rotation.
- Maintain appropriate pars for cups, lids, coffee, milk, syrups, condiments, and operating supplies.
- Maintain coffee machines, counters, refrigeration, display areas, and guest areas in clean and sanitary condition.
- Follow established food-safety and temperature-control procedures.
- Communicate low inventory, equipment issues, and product shortages promptly.
- Complete opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain accountability for cash bank and transactions when assigned.
- Assist other café, market, or Food & Beverage operations as assigned.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
