About The Position

The Barista is the foundation of the café and is responsible for providing each customer with excellent service and a high-quality product. The role requires a positive, professional attitude and a focus on creating satisfied customers and encouraging their return. The Barista prepares consistent, quality beverages, maintains café operations, contributes to profitability, and learns all aspects of the position.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to hear timers and coordinate with other baristas.
• Ability to check food quality and read production charts and recipes.
• Ability to interact with guests in a positive, hospitable manner.
• Ability to use the cash register and collect money accurately.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift product cases weighing up to 70 pounds, push and pull carts, bend regularly to lift items and supplies, and move around the coffee shop.
• Ability to stand continuously and walk, lift, and carry items throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a customer service role is strongly preferred.
