About The Position

Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Barista to prepare quality beverages and provide guests with a welcoming experience. The role includes preparing and serving beverages and food items, assisting guests, processing payments, maintaining clean and stocked service areas, following food-safety procedures, monitoring supplies, and completing assigned opening and closing duties. The Barista works with team members to keep service moving smoothly during busy periods.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
Greet guests, answer menu questions, and take orders accurately.
Serve pastries, snacks, and other available food items.
Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash, credit card, and other authorized payments accurately.
Keep counters, equipment, displays, and guest areas clean, organized, and stocked.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and safe equipment-handling procedures.
Monitor product freshness, rotate inventory, and communicate supply needs.
Respond professionally to guest requests and refer concerns to a supervisor when needed.
Complete assigned opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and reconciling transactions.
Work with fellow team members to keep service moving smoothly during busy periods.
