About The Position

CC Holdings is hiring friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Baristas/Cashiers for IGC Coffee Zon Cafes at the Indiana Government Center. The role prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, tea, and smoothies, while providing guest service, explaining menu options, making recommendations, and suggesting additional products. Cashier duties include processing cash and card transactions through a point-of-sale system, making change, and balancing the cash drawer. The position requires maintaining a clean and sanitary station, following café guidelines for setup, portioning, and presentation, restocking and merchandising products, and working collaboratively to support café operations. The employer describes the environment as fun and fast-paced. Starting pay is up to $16.00 per hour, plus tips. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with shifts varying Monday through Friday between 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Cafes are closed on weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Demonstrated customer-service, communication, and listening skills.
Ability to use and maintain equipment at the assigned station.
Ability to work collaboratively and provide respectful, hospitable service to customers and team members.
Passion for hospitality and coffee.
Willingness to assist with other tasks when asked.
Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation; these may include extended standing and walking, moving through restaurant work areas, handling food, operating restaurant equipment, and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items consistent with the role.

Nice To Haves

Prior barista, cashier, or customer service representative experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve beverages as directed in a sanitary, timely, and consistent manner.
Set up the work station according to café guidelines and maintain it through cleaning, restocking, and safe, organized work practices.
Follow portion-control and presentation specifications and check merchandise for quality and presentation.
Greet customers, take and ring in orders, provide accurate and hospitable service, and thank customers and invite them to return.
Educate customers about menu items, make recommendations, suggestively sell, and inform customers about products, promotions, and services.
Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions; follow cash-handling procedures; provide correct change; record orders accurately; and count the cash drawer.
Communicate and coordinate tasks with teammates, assist other baristas with customers, and support café operations and standards.
Act as a role model for customers and staff and help provide on-the-job training to new baristas/cashiers.
Adapt to changes and assist with other tasks when asked.
