Line Cook - IGC
About The Position
CC Holdings is hiring a food service line cook for its IGC Cafe at the Indiana Government Center. The role involves preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality food promptly, efficiently, safely, and consistently at an assigned station. The cook works in a fast-paced environment, follows food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures, and provides customer service while collaborating with the team. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Shifts are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with shifts varying. The cafe is closed weekends and holidays. Starting pay is up to $16.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Knowledge of food service methods and procedures, sanitation principles, and safe food handling.

- Strong time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
- Arrive in proper uniform and adhere to grooming standards.
- Set up the station according to cafe guidelines.
- Prepare food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Follow portion-control and presentation specifications.
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
- Clean and maintain the station while following safety, sanitation, and organizational practices.
- Properly use and maintain station equipment.
- Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Maintain food quality and safety through required sanitation measures, including cleaning surfaces and floors and covering and storing food properly.
- Work at an efficient and consistent pace.
- Assist with other tasks when asked.
