About The Position

IBMC College is hiring a full-time licensed Barbering Instructor in Longmont, Colorado. The instructor delivers curriculum and lesson content in classroom and clinic-floor settings, providing lectures and hands-on training to prepare students for careers in barbering. The role offers the opportunity to mentor students in a professional environment designed to reflect a real-world salon. Work is performed in a classroom and/or clinic-floor environment on a college campus.

Requirements

Current Colorado barbering license.
Three to five years of salon and/or clinic-floor experience, with 4,000 hours verified.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to deliver educational materials to diverse students in a classroom or salon setting.
Ability to follow directions within established guidelines.
Ability to contribute successfully to a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous teaching experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom and clinic-floor instruction, lectures, and hands-on training according to course content.
Substitute teach approved classes or support clinic-floor activities when requested by the Director of Education.
Prepare daily for classroom lectures and hands-on training activities.
Complete class-related administrative work, including grading, curriculum support, and tutoring students for make-up hours.
Attend department, campus, and company meetings when requested by the Director of Education.
Participate in educator and professional development as required by the credentialing agency.
Ensure compliance with state and national requirements when teaching classes and working on the clinic floor.
Maintain the confidentiality of work information.
