Barber Instructor (Learning Leader)
About The Position
Paul Mitchell The School Pasadena is seeking a qualified Barbering Instructor, also called a Learning Leader, to educate, motivate, mentor, and coach Future Professionals in technical and guest service skills and create extraordinary learning experiences. The school describes its culture as “One Size Fits All” and “Be Nice,” with a focus on putting Future Professionals first. Team and community growth opportunities include FUNraising, monthly team trainings, student clubs and activities, fashion shows, and photo shoots. The ideal candidate has previous education and barbering experience, as well as experience with Paul Mitchell products. Requirements
- Current California Barbering license.
- At least 3 years of experience behind the chair.
- Excellent organization, coaching, and communication skills.
- Skills in supervision, teamwork, and documentation.
- Solid work history with verifiable references.
- Passion for the beauty industry.
- Honesty and professionalism.
- Experience in positive and effective communication, soft skills, professional development skills, and teamwork.
- Previous education and barbering experience, as described for the ideal candidate.
Nice To Haves
- Experience instructing at a barber school; preferred but not required.
- Experience with Paul Mitchell products.
- Knowledge of Paul Mitchell Schools' cultural and technical systems.
