About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the bar area, including supply storage areas. The Barback will prepare vacated bar space for new guests, maintain a well-stocked bar area to expedite guest service, and assist bartenders as needed. This role is crucial for maintaining a high standard of service and guest experience.

Requirements

Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items (dishes, tubs, etc.)
Previous restaurant experience strongly preferred
High energy and stamina are required
Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively
Strong verbal communication skills required
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
Excellent customer service to treat patrons like family
Ability to read menus, safety documents, and other work-related documents

Responsibilities

Removes all dishes and other items from bar following the meal
Cleans and prepares bar area for new guests in accordance to the Joint’s standards
Performs opening, closing and ongoing cleaning side work as assigned
Assists bartending staff by answering guest questions, pre-bussing, refilling N/A beverages etc. to ensure quality guest experience
Changing out empty kegs and maintenance of beer and returnable storage
Supports bartending and waitstaff in other duties as required
Stocking and preparing bar supplies
Performs other work-related duties as assigned
