About The Position

Our kitchen takes something from one culinary continent and smashes it into another: Latin food that speaks with an Asian accent. Conceived at the markets and landing here on Main Street. Running out of a old mechanic’s station, combining two separately functioning garages to create our restaurant and Coffeehouse. Business bustles inside and out along the downtown Clarkston strip. Patrons can pop in for house-roasted and brewed pour-over coffee, pastries and juices while others saddle up to the bar for full kitchen service, drinks and margarita sloshies. The main restaurant dining room offers table, booth or counter seating for full lunch and dinner service or to grab a taco and a sack of homemade donuts hot out of the fryer. POSITION SUMMARY Ensuring cleanliness of the bar area including bar supply storage areas, preparing vacated bar space for new guests, maintain a well-stocked bar area to expedite guest service and assisting bartenders as needed.

Requirements

Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items (dishes, tubs, etc.)
Previous restaurant experience strongly preferred
High energy and stamina are required
Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively
Strong verbal communication skills required
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
Excellent customer service to treat patrons like family
Ability to read menus, safety documents, and other work-related documents

Responsibilities

Removes all dishes and other items from bar following the meal
Cleans and prepares bar area for new guests in accordance to the Joint’s standards
Performs opening, closing and ongoing cleaning side work as assigned
Assists bartending staff by answering guest questions, pre-bussing, refilling N/A beverages etc. to ensure quality guest experience
Changing out empty kegs and maintenance of beer and returnable storage
Supports bartending and waitstaff in other duties as required
Stocking and preparing bar supplies
Performs other work-related duties as assigned
