About The Position

The Barback provides patrons with excellent service in a timely manner and properly stocks the bar as needed. The role supports bar operations by maintaining equipment, assisting with setup and breakdown, keeping bar and storage areas orderly, and helping manage inventory and product rotation. The Barback interacts with guests, supports guest relations, maintains confidentiality and facility security, and follows applicable laws and guidelines.

Requirements

• Maintain County Health District, Gaming, and Alcohol Awareness Certification.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks with minimal supervision while showing urgency regardless of business volume.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communication and body language.
• Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.
• Ability to become TIPS certified.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Some prior barback experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance of all bar equipment.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of bar side work and related projects.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bar and storage areas.
• Use communication devices such as telephones, two-way radios, and bulletin boards.
• Interact and speak with guests to maintain strong guest relations and encourage loyalty.
• Assist the Center Bar Manager with inventory controls, stocking, product rotation, checking use-through dates on beer and dairy products, and date-labeling fresh-cut fruit.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of facility storage.
• Maintain awareness of applicable laws and operate within those guidelines.
