About The Position

Motek, part of the Happy Corner Hospitality collective, is a Mediterranean concept restaurant. The Barback will assist the bar team in providing guests with an exceptional dining experience by welcoming guests to the bar, running food and drinks, and stocking and supporting bar operations. This is an opportunity to join the team at the Grand Opening of Motek 57th St.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a barback role at a fast-paced restaurant.
• Basic understanding of food handling and safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn about dishes and cocktails to engage in appropriate table talk when delivering them.
• Restock ice, beverages, wines, and glasses to help the bar run efficiently.
• Assist with stocking the bar, keeping batches fresh, and slicing garnishes.
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols and comply with health regulations.
• Communicate effectively and support team members to contribute to a positive, cooperative work environment.
