About The Position

The Barback helps the bartender with the daily operation of the bar, supporting bar service and maintaining clean, organized bar and lounge areas. The role requires availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexible and sometimes long hours.

The position involves regularly working around smoke or airborne particles and occasionally in wet or humid conditions. Noise levels are usually moderate. Physical duties include standing, walking, using and reaching with the hands and arms, talking and hearing, and frequently climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, or sitting. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds and be able to adjust focus.

Requirements

• At least one year of progressive experience in the bar industry or a related field is required.
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Flexible and sometimes long hours are required.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with employees and guests at all levels in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.

• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
• Replenish liquor, beer, and wine at the bar as needed during the shift.
• Keep the bar, refrigerators, and bar service areas clean and organized.
• Assist with opening and closing side work as assigned.
• Receive liquor, beer, and wine from the storeroom on a daily basis.
• Help ensure bar and lounge areas are clean and tidy.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
