About The Position
The Barback is responsible for supporting bartenders and ensuring the bar operates efficiently during service. This role assists with stocking, cleanliness, organization, and maintaining an exceptional guest experience through behind-the-scenes support and teamwork. Requirements
- Previous restaurant, barback, or food & beverage experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude during high-volume periods
- Food Safety Certification and Wisconsin Alcohol Beverage Certification required within 30 days of starting and must be re-certified as needed
- Bartender license for Wisconsin Dells area required
Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders with daily bar operations and guest service support
- Stock and replenish liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and supplies throughout shifts
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of all bar areas, storage spaces, and service stations
- Remove empty bottles, trash, and used glassware promptly and safely
- Wash and polish glassware and maintain cleanliness of bar equipment
- Assist with opening and closing side work duties
- Refill ice bins and maintain adequate supply levels during service
- Support beverage preparation by cutting garnishes, preparing mixers, and organizing products
- Assist with receiving and organizing inventory deliveries
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
- Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers, kitchen team members, and leadership
- Respond quickly to operational needs in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times
