About The Position

The Host/Hostess is responsible for managing the guest arrival and departure experience, ensuring a seamless, organized, and welcoming environment at our off-site restaurant. This role serves as the central point of coordination for dining room flow and is accountable for maintaining efficiency, professionalism, and guest satisfaction always. Dellshire Resort is a world-class, medieval-inspired destination where technology meets timeless adventure. Requirements

  • Previous guest service or host experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Food Safety Certification and Wisconsin Alcohol Beverage Certification required within 30 days of starting and must be re-certified as needed

Responsibilities

  • Greeting all guests promptly with a professional and welcoming demeanor
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments using established systems
  • Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating to support service efficiency
  • Escort guests to tables and provide menus in a polished manner
  • Communicate continuously with servers, managers, and culinary team regarding table status and guest needs
  • Provide accurate wait time estimates and manage guest expectations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, lobby, and entry areas
  • Answer phones, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with reservations
  • Support guest recovery efforts by escalating concerns to leadership when needed
  • Adhere to all company policies, service standards, and safety procedures
  • Other duties & responsibilities as assigned by Manager
