About The Position

The Barback is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper stock behind the bar while supporting a best-in-class guest experience. The role assists bar staff in keeping the bar organized to ensure an efficient flow of service throughout the shift. The position is at The Elser Hotel & Residences in Downtown Miami.

Requirements

One year of previous experience in a similar role.
Evening shift availability.
Adequate communication skills to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
Patience in dealing with guests.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Request, pick, verify, and put away requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, and food items used in bar areas.
Stock bar areas with liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware, and condiments.
Develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar.
Complete all side opening and closing duties.
Adopt a positive approach when dealing with guest problems and issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
Attend to customer needs with a friendly and professional attitude.
Operate and maintain bar equipment and tools.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
